Cazal 242 vintage glasses

€399,00 EUR

Cazal was founded in 1975 by designer Cari Zalloni and quickly developed a look that was unlike anything else in eyewear at the time.

The frames were bold, graphic and often deliberately oversized, with unusual constructions, strong colour combinations and details that made them instantly recognisable. Rather than following the fashion of the moment, Cazal created its own visual language.

That originality, together with high-quality German production, is what made vintage Cazal eyewear so influential and why the best early models are still highly sought after today.

We are happy to present this Cazal 242 vintage optical frame from the early 1990s, with a bold squared silhouette and unmistakable old-school Cazal character.

The gold-tone metal frame is accented with dark contrasting details along the outer edges, giving the otherwise clean construction a much stronger graphic look. It’s a relatively compact Cazal at 53-19, but still has plenty of presence.

The 242 later gained extra recognition after being worn by rapper Tyga at the 2011 BET Awards.

An original unworn new old stock piece and a Cazal collectors dream.
