Colani 1001 80s vintage glasses

€499,00 EUR

Luigi Colani was a German industrial designer known for his futuristic, organic shapes and for applying the same design language across cars, cameras, furniture and eyewear. During the 1980s he became especially influential in Japan and worked with companies such as Canon, Sony and Mazda. His eyewear follows the same philosophy: flowing lines, unusual proportions and designs that look engineered rather than simply styled.

We are proud to present this Colani 1001 vintage optical frame from the 1980s, designed by Luigi Colani.

The oversized shape, narrow sculpted bridge and flowing metal lines are unmistakably Colani. One of the most characteristic details is the temple design: instead of straight conventional arms, they follow a soft, curved profile with shaped end pieces, giving the frame that organic, almost aerodynamic look found across much of Colani’s work.

Finished in fine gold-tone metal, the frame feels futuristic and elegant at the same time.

An original unworn new old stock piece in size 57-14.
