Colani 1002 80s vintage glasses

€499,00 EUR

Luigi Colani was a German industrial designer known for his futuristic, organic shapes and for applying the same design language across cars, cameras, furniture and eyewear. During the 1980s he became especially influential in Japan and worked with companies such as Canon, Sony and Mazda. His eyewear follows the same philosophy: flowing lines, unusual proportions and designs that look engineered rather than simply styled.

We are proud to present this Colani 1002 vintage optical frame from the 1980s, made in Germany.

The 1002 is one of the more recognizable Colani women’s designs from the period. The oversized aviator-inspired shape is built from fine gold-tone metal, with an unusual double-bridge construction and curved outer lines that give the frame a very distinct look.

It’s exactly the kind of frame Colani did best - unusual and futuristic, but still elegant enough to wear.

An original unworn new old stock piece in size 57-16.
