Cazal 707 vintage glasses made in West Germany
Cazal was founded in 1975 by designer Cari Zalloni and quickly developed a look that was unlike anything else in eyewear at the time.
The frames were bold, graphic and often deliberately oversized, with unusual constructions, strong colour combinations and details that made them instantly recognisable. Rather than following the fashion of the moment, Cazal created its own visual language.
That originality, together with high-quality German production, is what made vintage Cazal eyewear so influential and why the best early models are still highly sought after today.
We are proud to present this Cazal 707 vintage optical frame from the early 1980s, and a particularly interesting piece from the brand’s early 700-series.
What makes the 707 special is its place in Cazal’s production history: it appears to be one of the first models in the series to carry the “W. Germany” marking, while earlier 701–706 examples were still engraved “Frame Germany.” That places it right around the period when Cazal changed its markings in the early 1980s.
The oversized geometric shape and fine metal construction are pure early Cazal - bold, graphic and unmistakable without being overly heavy.
An original unworn new old stock example and a genuine collector’s piece.

Our glasses come with detailed measurements in the product description.
The key measurement is the frame width, which is the distance from the inside of the right temple to the inside of the left temple. To ensure a perfect fit width-wise, we recommend measuring an existing frame that fits you comfortably, providing a valuable reference. For minor size concerns like nosepads and temple lengths, an optician can make adjustments.
We've also included a size guide in the glasses description to assist your selection.

It depends on the frames. While we strive to include the original case with every purchase, we don't always have the original case available. However, you can rest assured that we provide our signature hard case and a cleaning cloth with each purchase.
