Colani 15-701 80s vintage sunglasses
Luigi Colani was a German industrial designer known for his futuristic, organic shapes and for applying the same design language across cars, cameras, furniture and eyewear. During the 1980s he became especially influential in Japan and worked with companies such as Canon, Sony and Mazda. His eyewear follows the same philosophy: flowing lines, unusual proportions and designs that look engineered rather than simply styled.
We are proud to present these Colani vintage sunglasses from the 1980s, size 60-14, with Luigi Colani’s own take on the aviator shape.
The frame combines gold-tone metal with silver details, while the bluish-grey sun lenses give the design a cooler, more understated look. The curved front and distinctive temple shape are very typical of Colani’s design language from the period.
A rare unworn original and a great example of 1980s Colani eyewear.

Our glasses come with detailed measurements in the product description.
The key measurement is the frame width, which is the distance from the inside of the right temple to the inside of the left temple. To ensure a perfect fit width-wise, we recommend measuring an existing frame that fits you comfortably, providing a valuable reference. For minor size concerns like nosepads and temple lengths, an optician can make adjustments.
We've also included a size guide in the glasses description to assist your selection.

It depends on the frames. While we strive to include the original case with every purchase, we don't always have the original case available. However, you can rest assured that we provide our signature hard case and a cleaning cloth with each purchase.
